April is turning out to be quite a magical month so far! On April 1st we discovered Xander's first loose tooth! What an exciting moment. A visit to the dentist a week later showed us he actually has two loose teeth an a 6 year old molar coming in.
Then on the 12th Xander celebrated his 5th birthday. I honesly do not know where the last 5 years have gone. He is such a neat kid too. I feel blessed to be able to watch him grow every day. This year his birthday fell on Easter. We celebrated with a birthday lunch of pizza and a bunny cake. The party goers were Memere, Antie, Uncle, Grammy(visiting from CO), Aunt Amy, Uncle Doug, Uncle Jeff, Uncle Chris, Cousins...Jayme, Abigail, and Josh. It was funny. That Saturday his birthday ws celebrated with Pepere and Cecile. They made tacos and had an ice cream cake for Xander.
If that wasn't enough this past Sunday the 19th he had party with some friends at the YMCA in Concord. I was a rock wall climbing party. And from the looks of it all, everyone had a blast!!!
BUT, I jump ahead. On Saturday afternoon on the way home from Concord Xander started shouting that his tooth fell out. He thought he had food in is mouth and spit it out. Then he realized it was his tooth. We were all laughing and screaming in the car. I pulled over at convenience store to find the tooth. It was not easy. They are so tiny. But alas, I did. Xander woke himself up at 1:00 that morning to check if the tooth fairy came. She did and left a dollar!
So though there is some April and more fun to be had, the last thing I want to tell everyone about is our chickens whom we met last Sunday and who will be coming home this Saturday. We, meaning me, Xander, and Zoe decided on chickens which is a bit last minute. We convinced Brett and were now trying to decide how to fund a coop. We also planned on Pullets which are 5 month old chickens and ready for the coop. I really did not want to deal with baby chicks this year. Well things changed and we had to decide on chicks. Xander was thrilled, I was not but decided to go for it. It meant some time before having to come up with a coop.
A couple of weeks ago I received a message from a friend. A friend of he is moving and looking to give away their 1 year old chickens, the coop, and the feeder/waterer. So this weekend we are picking everything up and will have 8 chickens!
I will get pictures up soon!!!!!!!!!
